In maintenance classes, both body and mind are cared for. The classes are suitable for everyone and don’t include choreography. Flexibility, body control, and recovery are the main themes of maintenance classes.
PhysioPilates is rehabilitative Pilates guided by a physiotherapist. The exercises are gentler than classical Pilates repertoire. The goal of PhysioPilates exercises is to learn to use the body optimally. The class strengthens the muscles that support posture and the entire body while relaxing overactive and tense muscles, making daily activities easier. This class is a perfect mindfulness exercise focusing on your body and well-being. It is suitable for everyone to prevent and rehabilitate various musculoskeletal issues.
Pilates exercises strengthen the deep muscles of the body and teach control of the body’s center. The goal is to increase strength and endurance, as well as improve posture and concentration. Resistance bands and small weights may be used during the class. Options are given for different levels, from easy to challenging, making it suitable for beginners as well.
A calming yoga practice focusing on relaxing, opening movements. A session that calms the mind and body, featuring only restorative yoga postures (no sun salutations, etc.). Very suitable for beginner yogis.
In this class, calming mobility exercises and stretches are performed to soothe both the body and mind.
A training form combining yoga, Pilates, and Tai Chi, improving balance, strength, flexibility, and relaxation. The class starts with lovely, calming Tai Chi movements to warm up the body. The yoga segment includes sun salutations, balance work, and hip openings. Effective abdominal and back exercises from Pilates are included. The class ends with a lovely relaxation moment.
In the FasciaMethod class, the focus is on improving mobility with functional, active stretches using the full range of motion of the joints and following muscle chains (fascial lines). After the class, you’ll feel as if you’ve had a massage. Thanks to the easy movements, the class is suitable for everyone.
A gently effective 30-minute muscle strength workout for women. This class focuses on locating and strengthening deep muscles. It covers various muscle groups important for women, concentrating on pelvic floor muscles. The class includes the daily recommended amount of pelvic floor muscle exercises. It is suitable for everyone.
The class focuses on opening and activating the body with various, effective movements performed with a “broomstick”. In addition to light mobility exercises, the class also includes activating, gentle strength movements. The goal of the class is to get movement into the body and a gentle warmth in the muscles. This calm class is suitable for everyone.
Let your mind and body cleanse and relax in a sound bath. The sound journey deeply affects us on an emotional level, and its vibrations resonate through our physical body. The meditative sound bath combines soul-soothing wind chimes, invigorating shamanic drum, and/or Tibetan singing bowls. This class helps you unwind and enhances deep sleep. Available only on-site.
In these classes, you will exercise with a good vibe, increasing heart rate and muscle strength. In these classes, you can move according to your fitness level, and best of all, you’ll be inspired alongside great workout buddies!
After a short and easy warm-up, we effectively shape the thighs and glutes as well as the core. We use weights such as dumbbells and weight plates. The class improves muscle strength and efficiently burns fat.
A total body strength, endurance, and mobility circuit training class in the Rytmi room. During the class, you will move from one exercise to another at your own pace while challenging yourself against the clock. The instructor demonstrates and teaches movement techniques and circulates around the room motivating and guiding. In this class, you will train the entire body and improve your fitness, regardless of your fitness level.
The Olo Cross class draws inspiration from CrossFit, but without complicated technical weightlifting elements. The class alternates between effective strength segments and vigorous aerobic segments using kettlebells. In the class, you will compete against yourself and challenge your workouts to a new level! The class takes place in the Vauhti room.
An effective and energetic full-body kettlebell workout! The class is conducted in a small group in the Voima room. The instructor guides proper movements and provides options. You can choose the weight of the kettlebell according to your fitness level, making the class suitable for everyone.
KAHVAKUULACIRCUIT** (KETTLEBELL CIRCUIT)
An effective full-body kettlebell workout conducted in circuit training format. The class is conducted in a small group in the Vauhti room. The instructor guides proper movements and provides options. The movements are done against the clock, allowing you to choose the pace and the weight of the kettlebell based on your fitness level. The class is also suitable for beginner kettlebell users.
In this class, abdominal, back, and glute muscles are strengthened using dynamic muscle exercises. This effective class for the core area improves functional strength, balance, and mobility. A strong core makes you strong. The class provides many options to adjust the intensity to suit your needs. Resistance bands and weight plates are used in the class.
A strength training class that uses a barbell and weight plates as equipment. The class comprehensively trains all major muscle groups of the body. Each participant can train at their fitness level and choose suitable weights ranging from 2 to 32 kg. During a short warm-up track, nearly all movements performed in the class are practiced. The instructor guides proper movement techniques. The class is suitable for both beginners and experienced fitness enthusiasts.
A sweaty and fun step class with clear and gradually progressing choreography. Engaging steps and upbeat music will playfully lead you to better aerobic fitness. In this class, you will develop your aerobic fitness without feeling overwhelmed. Equipment used includes a step board. The aerobic segment lasts 45-50 minutes. You will get hooked!
A wonderful, holistic workout suitable for everyone, featuring an easy-to-follow 10-15 minute warm-up and effective, varied strength movements for the whole body (arms, legs, and core). We may use weights, resistance bands, or other equipment in addition to body weight. The class ends with brief restorative stretches.
DanceFitYoga is a 60-minute class that includes 20 minutes of dancing, 20 minutes of strength training, and 20 minutes of yoga. This concept serves busy movers with limited time for exercise. We combine everything: aerobic training, strength training, and body maintenance. DanceFitYoga is an effective, fun, and energizing class that uses only a mat as equipment.

An energetic workout that improves aerobic fitness, also enhancing strength and endurance. The class consists of effective, heart-rate-raising interval segments as well as movements that develop functional strength and body control. It’s sweaty, effective, and fun to work out together!
An intense class where you step to engaging music on the step board. The class works on both aerobic fitness and functional strength exercises. You can adjust the intensity of the class by changing the height of the step and removing jumps and arm movements. A good alternative for stair training, for example.

Les Mills DANCE is an energetic dance workout. Each program lasts 45 minutes and consists of ten separate music tracks, each with its own choreography. Designed by professional dancers, Les Mills DANCE is inspired by global dance genres and music. The dance movements are innovative and fit perfectly with the music. Les Mills DANCE is easy to learn and a great option for anyone looking to improve their dance skills while getting in shape. It is suitable for anyone who loves to dance.
A fun, easy, and sweaty form of exercise that combines elements of social dance steps and workout. Lavis is danced alone, so there’s no risk of anyone stepping on your toes. The class includes familiar social dance styles, such as humppa, jenkka (lively Finnish folk dances), rock, cha cha, and tango. DanceMix is an energetic and diverse class that combines influences from various dance styles (including show, street, and Latin). By adjusting resistance, speed, and riding position, you can tailor the intensity to fit your needs. This class is also held in the Vauhti room.
A powerful 45-minute combination class where you cycle indoors and work on core strength. This class improves both aerobic fitness and core muscle strength. It’s suitable for everyone, as you can customize the intensity to suit your own level using the options provided by the instructor. The class takes place in the Vauhti room.
Our popular 60+ classes are led by personal trainers and physiotherapists, focusing on age-appropriate workouts. The classes offer a fantastic community atmosphere where participants exercise according to their ability and fitness level while encouraging one another.
A brisk 30-minute heart-pumping and fitness-boosting class. This session includes short bursts of increased heart rate to maintain heart health and improve overall fitness. The class consists of a warm-up, a workout segment, and a cool-down. Heart rate elevation occurs through various stepping patterns without choreography, and if you wish, you can also include different jumping options. Note: Jumps are optional for those who need an extra challenge.
The FysioMix class combines the maintenance and development of cognitive skills with physiotherapeutic training. Each session has a rotating theme, such as shoulder, pelvic control, or posture. Fun problem-solving tasks help keep your memory and mind sharp.
FysioMix Class themes for Autumn 2024
A 30-minute morning workout in the gym. In this popular class, half of the exercises are done using the Kinesis wall, while the other half uses free weights or body weight. The class is conducted in a circuit training format in small groups (maximum of 8 participants). The advantage of a small group is that the instructor provides personal feedback on exercise technique and gives options tailored to your needs. Classes are held in the Voima Hall and last 30 minutes. Spots can be reserved in advance through the real-time calendar (ask reception for access credentials).
Versatile training with weekly changing themes. The class includes stick exercises, muscle strength, balance, and body care. This session offers variety and works both your body and mind. It’s suitable for all 60+ participants, and the instructor provides numerous movement options.
60+ SISÄPYÖRÄILY (SPINNING)
A 30-minute indoor cycling class exclusively for those aged 60 and above. The session covers bike setup, basic techniques, and an introduction to the activity. Work and recovery intervals alternate, allowing you to adjust resistance and speed to suit your fitness level. Energizing music sets the tone for the workout. Held in the VAUHTI-room.
60+ PUMPPI
An effective full-body strength training class. The aim is to improve muscle strength, endurance, and flexibility. This session enhances functionality and boosts bone health.
